Drama Team

The Drama Team is an auditioned group of actors who rehearse and perform scenes for The Journey's Sunday services. Whether you’re a seasoned professional or a growing actor, the Drama Team performs quality drama that entertains, encourages introspection and effectively communicates the message being delivered.

If you would like to audition, please complete the Worship Arts Interest Form. Our Pastor of Worship Arts, Jason Hatley, will contact you to arrange for your audition time and answer any questions that you may have. You may also email Jason, or call our office at 561-420-0606.

Who gets involved with the Drama Team?
The people who are involved with the Drama Team are interested in attending The Journey on a regular basis.  They feel gifted and want to use their talents to serve our church, and they have a servant’s heart, ready and willing to serve where needed.  Drama Team members act primarily at the weekend services of any of our locations, but also may perform at other special events.


Do I have to be a member of The Journey to join?
You do not have to be a member in order to join.  However, by joining, it is our hope that you will decide to make the commitment to go through Membership Class this season, and officially join The Journey family.
 

Will I be asked to perform every week?
No.  We try to be very conscious of your schedule.  For a live drama performance, it depends on when we have a scheduled scene, and if you’re a part of it.  For video/media projects, the amount of time you spend on the shoot is dependent on the project itself.

 
When are rehearsals?
Rehearsals are scheduled according to need and availability of those involved.

 
How long do rehearsals usually last?
Rehearsals last approximately 1-2 hours depending on what needs to be accomplished.  The Drama Team usually puts in one hour of rehearsal for every minute of the scene.  You will need to be off book for the first rehearsal.
 

How do I join?

• Sign-up to audition by completing the Worship Arts Interest Form or by contacting Jason Hatley (561-420-0606 / jason@bocajourney.com) and let him know that you would like to audition. 
• Relax, and come to the audition ready to have fun and do your best!
