What to Expect

We want your first experience at The Journey Online to be relaxed, and for you and your family to enjoy the service.  So, here is some information to help you know what to expect.

What times are the services?

The Journey Church Online streams live on our website at www.BocaJourney.TV every Sunday at 9am, 11am, 1pm, 3pm, 5pm, 7pm, and 9pm (plus additional times, including new Saturday night service options at 5pm and 7pm).  The service lasts about an hour.  We encourage you to connect to the service 5-10 minutes early to give you plenty of time to make sure your technology (TV/Laptop/Tablet/Phone) is working, and to get your children set up forJourney Kids (5th grade and under).

*Tip: Decide in advance which service you will attend and make an appointment to be there so you don't miss it!

What are the messages like?

Our goal every Sunday is to teach the timeless truths of the Bible in a way that is engaging and applicable to your life. You will find that the messages are practical, easy to understand, and grounded in Scripture.

To help you get the most out of the message, you can download the message notes each week by clicking the blue "Download Message Notes" button below the LiveStream player. You can print them out, or follow along and take notes in Word, Pages, or Google Docs.

What about the music?

The music at The Journey is upbeat, modern, and uplifting!  The Journey features a live band with electric guitar, bass, keyboard, and drums every week. We sing modern songs of faith, but you might also hear a Top 40 song or a classic hymn. Think your favorite rock station with a twist.

*Tip: We encourage you to sing along with us at Church Online so that you can worship instead of just watching.

What's available for my kids?

The Journey offers a fun church online experience for your children (5th grade and under) called Journey Kids Online.

Journey Kids Online features an engaging and fun Bible learning experience complete with video Bible lessons, songs, games, activities, and downloads!

There are two Journey Kids Online options for your children:
And - if you have a 4th or 5th grader, they can join our Lions Class for a Live Zoom call with our Journey Kids Team and other children to watch and discuss the lesson together.

Journey Kids is staffed solely by members in good standing at The Journey, who have been background checked and receive ongoing training to make your children’s experience the best it can be!

Simply stated: we want this to be the best hour of your child’s week!

What's available during the week?

During the week, The Journey's Growth Groups meet at convenient locations throughout South Palm Beach and Broward counties.  Growth Groups are groups of 15 or so people who join together to study the Bible, grow spiritually, meet new people and have fun.

Growth Groups last 10-12 weeks, so it's a short-term commitment.  Growth Group sign-ups occur 3 times per year (January, May, October).

How did The Journey get started?

Lead Pastor Jason Hatley and his wife Karen moved to Boca Raton in the summer of 2010 to start The Journey Church. Jason served as a pastor of The Journey Church in Manhattan for nearly a decade prior to feeling called to start The Journey’s newest location here in South Florida.

On February 13, 2011, The Journey celebrated the start of weekly services.

And on Easter Sunday, April 21 The Journey celebrated the Grand Opening of is Ministry and Worship Center in the heart of Boca Raton.

Today, hundreds of people call The Journey home, while over a dozen Growth Groups meet every week throughout South Florida.

God has blessed our church thus far, not only here in Boca Raton, but also at our campuses in New York City as well. Our church is growing steadily, serving the community and sharing Christ with the people of South Florida along the way.

And we believe that the best days are still ahead!
