An Update on Building for Life, Phase 2 and the Building of Our Outdoor Baptistry!
God has been doing a great work through our church! As we look back on the first 12 years of our church, we have seen hundreds of people make a decision to follow Christ, we have baptized hundreds more, and through our Community Ministry partnerships , we have served thousands of people in need in our community.
Now, that we have opened our Ministry and Worship Center, it's time to look forward and prepare for what God has next for our church.
We have already completed the Phase 1 Projects for Building for Life, including:

We have already completed the Phase 1 Projects for Building for Life, including:

✅ Renewing and resealing our parking lot.
✅ Repainting the curbs and fixing broken parking spaces.
✅ Investing in landscape projects to beautify our property, protect against potential hazards during hurricane season, and clear the way for repainting and installing the new sign on our building.
✅ Painting the exterior of the church building
✅ Installing the new sign on the front of our building
✅ Identifying and supporting a New Cross-Cultural Regional Missions Church in Miami (Reality Church)

It’s amazing what we have accomplished in Phase 1 of Building for Life! But the biggest – and most exciting project is coming with Phase 2. See below...

Secure Our Future by Paying Down Our Debt
This aspect of Building for Life is vital! We must meet our mortgage commitment and pay down our debt to remain in our new Ministry & Worship Center.
Plus, we want to build reserves for unforeseen repairs in the future and new opportunities that God may open to us. This is an ongoing part of Building for Life that we must keep funding in Phase 2 to ensure stability and the future of our ministry.

Build Our Future Baptistry on our Outdoor Patio
One of the most scenic features of our Ministry and Worship Center is the outdoor fountain and patio area. From the moment we purchased this property, the goal has been to turn the fountain into a fully-functional outdoor baptistry that would allow us to baptize new believers any day of the year, all year long.
In its current state, the fountain is too shallow, too narrow, and does not provide a stairway entrance. Through Building For Life, we will completely renovate the fountain to create a beautiful baptistry where the people who are coming to Christ – many of them our friends and family members – can take this important step of spiritual growth to be baptized every week.
In addition, we will renew our outdoor patio with new outdoor seating, furniture, and a viewing platform for the new baptistry, and to create space for greater ministry use.

Fix flooding problems due to the previous owner not having up-to-code drainage:
Also, the patio does not provide proper drainage which, in a storm or hurricane, would allow water to build up and enter the Worship Center. Through the baptistry and patio renovations, we will fix this drainage issue to protect our church building.
Replacing the dilapidated cover on our patio to provide much-needed shade for baptisms and other outdoor events:
In addition to the outdoor baptistry, the covered area on the patio needs to be replaced. The previous owner of this property allowed termites to permanently damage the covering. A new, more sturdy and modern covering will replace the existing wooden covering.
